Culture Beyond the Bike

Beyond the riding, you’ll experience the culture, hospitality, and flavours that make Morocco so special. Meet Amazigh locals, enjoy traditional home-cooked meals, and stay in beautiful guesthouses that reflect the warmth and character of the region.

Itinerary

 Day One

After arriving at Marrakech Airport, you’ll be met and transferred by private vehicle to our hotel in Marrakech for check-in. Once settled, we’ll organise bike handover if you're using a rented bike, plus help you assemble and properly set up, including adjustments and a full briefing to ensure everything is ready for the riding ahead. In the evening, we can head into Marrkech Medina to experience the atmosphere of Jemaa el‑Fnaa, wander through the souks, and have dinner on a stunning rooftop restaurant.

 Day Two

After breakfast we'll transfer by vehicle for around an hour to the edge of the dramatic Agafay Desert, a stark rocky landscape historically used by nomadic tribes moving between the plains and the High Atlas Mountains. From here the riding begins with a gentle intro riding on gravel tracks, and quiet backroads that pass through small Berber villages. Along the way you’ll stop to see traditional mud-brick homes and everyday farming life before climbing over a scenic mountain pass with expansive views across the Atlas foothills. The route continues into Amizmiz, once an important trading centre for the surrounding valleys, before finishing the day in the peaceful mountain setting of Ksar Shama, where you’ll settle in and enjoy a relaxed dinner featuring local Moroccan cuisine.

The route gradually climbs toward the spectacular Kik Plateau, where centuries-old dryland farming traditions are still practiced and where you may have the chance to meet local families living in small mountain communities. Continuing across the landscape, the ride passes through the historic Asni Valley, once an important caravan route connecting remote Atlas villages with Marrakech. After a relaxed lunch in a local village and time to experience everyday life in the mountains, the day finishes with arrival in Imlil, the famous trekking base for climbs to Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

After breakfast in Imlil, a short transfer takes you to the start of the day’s ride through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. The route follows rolling gravel roads, pine forest tracks, and quiet valley paths toward Tahnaout, a historic Jewish and Berber caravan town that once connected mountain communities with trade routes to Marrakech. Continuing through a series of scenic valleys, the ride eventually reaches the lush Ourika Valley, known for its greenery, waterfalls, and traditional villages. Along the way you’ll pass stone houses, terraced farms, and small artisan workshops that reflect daily life in the Atlas before finishing the ride and transferring back to Marrakech for the evening.
